- In Vietnamese, my name means "White Phoenix". It's not a car! It is a beautiful rising bird, re-born. Like the amazing phoenix, I am a bird. A bird on fire. The fire of life!!! I want to rise from the flames of the bad things that have "happened" in my life and not let the flames engulf me with their bad karma. I am going to become the woman I have always dreamed of becoming, like an oak tree, growing from an acorn! I am going to drift on this river of life, and not allow the droplets of other people's bad thoughts get me so wet. I want to dip my oar into the shallow waves of the people who support me, and use them to push off of as I take this journey of self-discovery! Like the innocent new fish that hatch beneath the waves, I am going to swim along and avoid the "big mouths" that surround me and try to take bites out of me. With the powerful name she gave me, my mother inspired me to rise above all the obstacles and to shine with my own inner light. As I enter middle age, I aim to do just that. I hope to share my journey here. I moved my blog here from my old site at "MySpace", hoping to attract more intelligent readers as I take this journey.
Thevetia peruviana (yellow apricot flower)
The yellow apricot flower is the symbol of Tet in south Viet Nam. It belongs to the family of hoang mai (meaning "yellow apricot" in Chinese), which is a forest plant.

I have been shopping and baking and talking to my neighbors for a long time today. They think I should get out more! So do I.
Sorry I had to delete some comments, but I sent someone an email asking him if he was playing with me (I had reason to suspect he was) so he came back here to play some more, but it wasn't nice play and I don't want to "pollute" my happy pond with these things!
